After reading many books on health and nutrition, I became frustrated that there are no books that explained what really mattered. It seemed that most books prescribed the exact "diet" I needed to follow to lose weight. However, they didn't provide the freedom to explore foods and exercises that fit my own lifestyle. What I needed was a book that explained the fundamentals of health in simple terms so I could achieve my own goals of living healthy.

That's when I decided to write The Beginner's Guide to Better Health. I set out to cut through all the myths and misconceptions about nutrition and get to the facts, without making it complicated. While this book is not the "end all" in nutrition and health books, it's a great starter book that I wished I had the opportunity to read before I changed my lifestyle. I encourage you to learn as much about health and nutrition as you can as you begin to change your lifestyle. The more information you have, the better off you'll be. This article is taken from my book and focuses on one fundamental theme: a healthy lifestyle. Quick fix diets never seemed to work for me because they made me suffer to obtain my goals. In six months, I was back to my old unhealthy ways of living. I know from personal experience that only when I changed my lifestyle did I become successful. Health and nutrition are now pervasive in my life. Every day I think about being healthy, not just once a month. In summary, knowledge and consistency were the keys to my success. I want to share that same knowledge with you.

Here you are, reading the introduction to determine if it holds the secrets to helping you live a healthier life. Well it absolutely does.... on one condition. Realize that YOU already have the "magic" within you to change your life. The only real magic is your desire to change and take control of how you look and feel. You can make a change. You must make a commitment and never look back. Yes, it's sometimes difficult, but you can do it. If you want to make a real change in the way you look and feel, then read on.
