WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Throughout this article, there has been emphasis on the amount of effort it may take to change your lifestyle. Simple fact is that humans don't like change. Yet in order to begin to live a healthier lifestyle, YOU must first WANT to change. It's not easy, but you can do it. Here are a few pointers to help you keep your mental edge as you persevere through your change.
- Do It Now - there's no time like the present to begin your healthy lifestyle. Don't put off change because you feel you can't tackle the change.
- The Right Attitude - keep a positive attitude and remember that you control the success of you lifestyle change.
- Temporary Setbacks - you might want to fall back to your old ways (it's the easy way out!), but persevere until you succeed. Don't get down about a setback, come back even stronger and more determined to change your lifestyle.
- Set a Goal - goal setting is a very powerful way of achieve success in your new lifestyle. The entire premise of this book is based on your ability to set and achieve goals: 1) the body composition you would like to have and 2) the number of fat grams you would like to eat. When you first set a goal, make sure it is attainable. Then progressively increase your goal until you achieve your ultimate goal, a healthy lifestyle.
