All of the technical definitions, processes, concepts, claims and selected technologies regarding EG issues are 'set in stone' in the PRS when this phase begins. Changes should only be made through a controlled process that requires agreement by all involved in the development process, as the product design (and perhaps the business plan) could be effected.
Having said that, continue to look for incremental improvements in the development processes by empowering the people, who actually do the work, to seek and communicate those potentials.
Create a 'recycle guaranty', specific compliance information and instructions to recycling partners and various controlling agencies.
Also begin the design of the production processes for the product.
