NATIONS / SOVEREIGN STATES / FEDERATIONS CARE

Most every Country and State that is concerned about product safety has established laws and product certification and inspection bodies to regulate products according to specific standards. The trail from 'political will' (ultimately brought about from litigation) to product safety, what I call the 'trail-of-safety-regulation', is complicated and differs somewhat from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. However, we can see that they are very much alike, conceptually. Following is how I model the trail-of-safety-regulation:

The Legislating Bodies of Nations, Sovereign States and federations decree Acts (laws), which establish Regulations (safety requirements) that are mandated and enforced by Supervisory Authorities. These authorities have the responsibility to ensure that products and services are safe for public commerce and use, as ratified by acceptable Certification Authorities to 'national consensus safety standards and established federal safety standards' as instituted by Standards Bodies.

The following table shows examples of legal trail-of-safety-regulation for various large-market countries/Unions.
