IDEAS

IDEASHUN & VALIDASHUN.
Shunning the details of developing the product and project ideas or shunning the critical and measurable validation of every product claim can quickly land a product, project, manager or company in trouble.

What to do about it!
Always (!) make the time and funds available to do a detailed consideration of the new product concept - it's called IDEATION. This is what the product is, how it works, how useful it is, for example:
  • Features vs. market needs and user benefits.
  • Performance in situ - compared and contrasted to competition.
  • Strategic position within market segments.
Always (!) make the time and funds available to do a critical validation of every claim made for the product - it's called VALIDATION. Many users, especially volume buyers, most likely will ask for proof of the claims, for example:
  • Features vs. market requirements and user demands.
  • Compliance to laws and standards.
  • Performance and reliability.
Taking care of these front-end and back-end project requisites will dramatically increase a product's chances of survival in a market.
