DOCUMENT STRUCTURE

The following figures map the major 'operations' components of a comprehensive documentation structure. Notice that every implementation level is bounded by 'Requirements / Specifications' and 'Test' documents on the front end and by a 'Test Results' document on the back end. This typifies the 'Make the Product Claims', 'Implement' and then 'Validate the Product Claims' scenario of Good Product Engineering Practices (GPEP)1 . The corporate and marketing / sales documents are beyond the scope of this article.

The repositories (DHF, PMR) in which the documents are maintained are indicated by placement of the specific document on the map.
