The author, Mr. Fred Garcia, holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Marketing and Sales, from the University of Redlands, California, and an Associate Degree in Electronics and Industrial Engineering from De Anza College, California.
Fred's industry experience spans 25 plus years in high technology. This experience includes marketing and sales of PC, LAN, WAN, and mainframe computers and is coupled with 10 years of electronics engineering and manufacturing. He is a USAF Vietnam Veteran, where he was first introduced to sophisticated electronics. Fred's career includes marketing at small start-up firms and with Fortune 100 electronic giants. These larger firms include Samsung Electronics, Philips, AMD and Xerox. He is often a marketing guest speaker appearing on radio and TV programs, where he talks about product centric technology and how it serves the consumer and professionals in their personal lives and business endeavors.
Fred, in 1996 established Four Point Marketing. Four Point Marketing is a high tech marketing and sales consulting company serving both domestic and foreign companies seeking to establish their business in the US. Fred develops for clients their strategic marketing plans, vertical markets, product launch/rollouts, and marketing communication/PR programs to create name brand recognition. Additionally he develops the sales channel plans that encompass major national/regional distributors, resellers, system integrators, e-commerce, and OEM customers.
Fred is a native son of Cupertino, California. He and his spouse, Velma, moved seventeen years ago from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley to the serene town of Felton in the Red Wood Mountains located in Santa Cruz County. Fred is an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and with his wife mountain bike riding.
