• Monitor assembly process and test results
  • Monitor Work In Process (WIP) and handling management.
  • Monitor QC test results
  • Monitor the SCM process and results
  • Monitor the 'bone pile' (units that fail the assembly or QC tests) repair and/or disposition; verify the trouble-shooting procedures.
  • Monitor customer service and Warranty process
  • Monitor Finished Goods Inventory and shipping (FGI) process
  • Monitor Out Going Inspection (OGI) process
  • Monitor Incoming Inspection (ICI) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations for components and procured parts
  • Monitor all required production-line regulatory testing
  • Monitor hazardous substance compliance (RoHS, etc.)
  • Only modifications to the production process, discovered during scale-up, can be reviewed.
  • Establish an efficient problem resolution process.
  • If the production processes meet requirements, place them under change control.
  • If the processes meet requirements, then freeze the PMR and place with the manufacturer.
  • Needless-to-say, a very large investment loss would be incurred if the project were to be canceled at the end of this phase.
