Bill was born, raised, and educated in Canada. After receiving his Chemical Engineering degree in 1967 he was employed for a short period in textile resin research. Over the next 17 years he was involved in the development and manufacturing of a variety of products including optics, lasers, computers, and telecom. His management career rapidly evolved from production to plant, then to executive. As an executive, he started a factory in Hong Kong, managed a successful turn around of a bankrupt company, and oversaw the closure of two companies. The last closure was a public company which lead him into international consulting through his own business.

Bill, his wife Carol, and their cats live in Spokane, Washington, USA.

He provides his services under the company name Techman/Kanata. Over the past 22 + years, as a consultant, he has served many national and international companies of all sizes. Much of his consulting is in product or company start up situations where the breadth of his experience is utilized.

The strength of his service is through experience and skills and an extensive network of consultants and authorities. These resources are in a wide range of disciplines, technologies, and businesses, and all of which Bill can bring to a client and manage in a project.
