Eric Mariacher has held various positions in embedded software development.
As a coder, architect, project manager at IBM and now the functional manager
for wireless keyboards, mice and receivers at Logitech. For each of his
projects he chooses the best organizational solutions to achieve its goals:
internal, local outsourcing or offshoring, in one word best-shoring.
Eric's main centers of interest are to set-up the right environment for
software developers to deliver products, and also to give management the
best visibility on software development process from the requirement phase
to the field support phase. Setting up the right software development often
requires reengineering the software development processes. Eric enjoys
driving these software development processes.
In parallel to those activities, Eric is actively involved in professional
social networking. He regularly writes articles, gives advice, and connects
with many people so that he and his connections can find new and exciting
opportunities.
Eric is happily married to Esther and they have 3 boys. They live in a tiny
ski resort in the French Jura mountains. They all enjoy skiing, hiking, and
travelling abroad. And just pitch their tents when they feel it's the right
time and the right place.
