Peter Philips

Peter Philips, MSEE, is a senior professional with proven technical/hands-on product development and manufacturing leadership in the medical device industry. He has extensive engineering and operational experience coupled with clinical, quality and regulatory expertise. He has held senior management-level positions in organizations ranging from major international corporations to start-up companies, and has served in various roles in medical device companies.

Peter has directed new product development programs, successfully utilizing engineers, technicians, CAD/industrial designers, assemblers, consultants/contract developers and manufacturers. He has introduced many new products into manufacturing. While managing the system production department, his team delivered FDA and ISO compliant devices. When specialized expertise was required, he has successfully contracted product development companies to complement in-house R&D. Peter's operational strategy is to retain core knowledge within the organization while out-sourcing non-critical operations and leveraging vendors with added value capabilities.

Peter and his wife, teenage daughter, and two four-legged children have lived in Orange County, Southern California for 30 years. He enjoys working in the garden and taking walks on the beach with his wife. He is active as a volunteer career coach at Saddleback Church and he and his wife lead a small group.
