Dibyendu lives in Kolkata, the emotional and intellectual capital of India. He lives with his wife, Madhumita & his sons Rick and Rit who are studying Architecture and Electronics Engineering.
Solving nagging, difficult or chronic problems for manufacturing organizations by applying holistic and design principles is his passion. He has been involved in industrial problem solving activity for the last 30 years. After graduation & post graduation from NIT Durgapur & Rourkela in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, his training continued in Condition Based Maintenance and Reliability Improvement under his Guru, Mr. Tim Henry, of the University of Manchester, U.K. For Dibyendu, quality of life is more important than breathlessly rushing around to earn more money. Hence, in his plentiful leisure time he loves yoga & meditation, along with study. During his daily 6 mile walk around Rabindra Sorovar Lake he listens to birds, watches trees & fishes, and contemplates ideas, concepts & stories. He is fervently interested in young people & spends a lot of time coaching and mentoring young engineers in Vibration Analysis & Industrial Problem Solving through real life cases & engaging dialogues on Facebook and Twitter.
