Canon Research Center America is the North American R&D subsidiary for Canon Inc., a company with annual sales of $22 billion. At Canon Research Center America, we develop technologies for future Canon products, and facilitate the transfer of that technology into products. When it came time for the manufacturing engineering and trial manufacturing of a new concept product for document imaging that we developed, we called on the services of Bill Evans of Techman/Kanata. Bill ably assisted us with the coordination of the manufacturing engineering activities, selection of a contract manufacturer, and procurement activities associated with this product. Bill's extensive experience in system manufacturing was evident as he coordinated these activities. With this assistance from Techman/Kanata we were able to deliver on schedule the first pre-production systems to our marketing organization for use in product demonstrations and field trials.
